What is the Universe Feed? A sky of wishes waiting for their date
The Universe Feed is an endless sky where every public manifest is an anonymous mascot. How to look around, drag, zoom, wander at random and send energy to strangers.
Most social networks hand you an endless timeline. The Universe Feed hands you a sky instead: every public manifest is a star, drawn as an anonymous mascot, waiting for its own date to arrive.
The Universe Feed: a sky of constellations and mascots
Every star is a manifest
When you write a manifest you can choose to post it to the feed. It appears with its date and nothing else: no name, no email. Just the words and a mascot that is generated from the manifest's own id, so it always keeps the same face.
A public manifest goes on the feed the moment you send it. If three different people report one, it leaves the feed on its own. To see exactly who can see what, read public or private?.
A sky with no edge
Drag to fly in any direction, left, right, up or down, and you will never reach a border. You can:
- Zoom with two fingers on a phone, with Ctrl or Cmd plus the scroll wheel, or with the + and − buttons at the right.
- Tap the frame to open it full screen. Scrolling down from the top of the page opens it too.
- Press "Wander" to fly to a random star. It is the best button for a bored evening.
Constellations with a meaning
The stars are not scattered at random. Manifests about the same theme, such as love, family, study or health, are joined into one constellation, and each one tells you how many people are dreaming about the same thing. For a closer look at what a constellation is, read what is a constellation?.
Tap a star
Tap a mascot and the camera flies over and opens a card: the manifest, its date and a short note from the universe to the person who wrote it. From there you can:
Tap a star to read the manifest and the note from the universe
- Send energy: that mascot grows a little bigger and brighter.
- Read and reply: leave an anonymous word of encouragement on the Letters to strangers page.
- Report anything that does not belong.
Try it now
Open the Universe Feed and tap any star. If you want a star of your own up there, send a manifest and tick the box to post it publicly. New to the idea? Start with how to send a manifest on Dear Universe.
